From the Scottish capital, Edinburgh, Laha meets the cast of the Saudi play “Tawq”, directed by Fahd Al-Dosari, as it makes its debut at the prestigious Fringe International Festival — one of the largest theatre festivals in the world. This year’s edition is held under the theme “Voices of the World Stage”, celebrating cultural diversity, with over 2,000 artists from 256 countries presenting 3,350 diverse performances.
The staging of Tawq is supported by the Theatre and Performing Arts Commission, marking another step in Saudi Arabia’s growing presence on the global theatre scene.
